About this piece

A magnificent French neoclassical writing desk in flame mahogany with original gilt-bronze (ormolu) mounts. Single drawer with original lock and key, leather-inset writing surface (replaced 1960s, in keeping with original). Professionally restored by Atelier Gardes in 2019.
